    Thanks for posting this Richard - these games and my blog post have both had a really positive response which is cool. Tron 2 does look ace - whatever happened to the lightcycles game you were working on?

    Unfortunately papervision (at least at the time) wasn't fast enough to do what I wanted but one day it might come back :)

    Completely agree with you about the speed of PaperVision. I don't blame the PV3D team at all though - this 3D stuff should just be native in Flash.

    When 3D was added to Director, it completely changed the Director development scene from 2D to 3D, and PaperVision is also very popular, so there's obviously a demand. Maybe they should just add AS3 to Director, clean up some of its bugs, and do it that way. There's also Unity3D and now 3D in JavaFx, but it all comes down to the install base of users. Users have Flash.
